As a psychotherapist, I have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time talking to people about their lives, and what is and isn't working in their lives. In session, I often ask clients, "You could live another 30, 40 or even 50 years. How do you want to spend the rest of your life?" As we work together, I often encourage clients to keep a journal. As a way to track their growth and healing by way of looking back, planning ahead and documenting their thoughts. No matter who you are and what you have going on, yesterday is gone and today is the first day of the rest of your life. You may be at a point in your life where you are struggling with difficult past experiences, trying to figure yourself out, or simply ready to change the direction of your life.
